What you can do with crochet squares:
 
Make coasters and mats; join squares together and add a zip to make a pencil case; join multiple squares to form a cup warmer, headband, scarf, blanket, phone pouch, bag (with crochet or webbing strap), lamp shade or cushion cover; join larger squares on the diagonal and add straps to make a top; make tiny squares into earings.
